Even after a record-breaking tour, a Grammy-lauded album (“Un Verano Sin Ti”) and a breakthrough as the first Latin solo artist to headline Coachella, Bad Bunny is still running hard.
The 29-year-old Latin superstar born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio graces the October cover of Vanity Fair, in which he coyly semi-discusses plans for a new album (it will never sound like “Un Verano Sin Ti” because “I always look for a way to do something new”), evades questions about the nature of his relationship with Kendall Jenner and tackles the topic of queerbaiting, of which the musician is often accused.

Bad Bunny says he he is 'living through' his music
Of his potential new album, Bad Bunny acknowledges that it's likely to be his most personal.
“Now more than ever, I feel more confident in talking about what I think, what I feel, and how I am living through my music,” he says.
In May, he released “Where She Goes,” a combo of reggaeton, hip-hop and EDM that some believe is about Jenner. Though it’s primarily sung in Spanish, fans have speculated that the English-language title means his new material might not be performed primarily in his native language.
Bad Bunny tells Vanity Fair that he doesn’t “hate the idea” of singing in English, but feels more comfortable in his own language. He does let slip, though, that with “some specific people” he speaks English because “with one of them, I couldn’t talk to her before.”
Bad Bunny addresses dating Kendall Jenner − sort of
It’s one of the few possible references to Jenner, as Bad Bunny shuts down further probing.
“They don’t know how you feel, they don’t know how you live, they don’t know anything, and I really don’t want them to know,” he says of his audience. “I’m not really interested in clarifying anything because I have no commitment to clarify anything to anyone.”
The pair reportedly started dating in February when they were seen getting cozy at a private club in Los Angeles and later spotted on a double date with Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber, both friends of Jenner.
Bad Bunny dresses feminine because 'it makes you happy'
Bad Bunny has often been accused of queerbaiting because of his androgynous fashion, but in the interview, he classifies his non-conformist style as something he does simply “because it makes you feel good and it makes you happy.”
The singer says he receives “endless” negative comments that are both sexist and homophobic and defends the right to make any sartorial choice.
“Maybe the queer person suffers more, but it is not like I put on a skirt and go out and they say ‘Look, how cool.’ They’re going to attack me with all their force anyway.”
